About

I grew up just outside New York City where I spent my formative years, ultimately moving to Manhattan after college. In my mid-20s, I relocated to San Francisco and after a series of productive and dynamic chapters there, I returned to NYC after the pandemic to be closer to family. I am at the core a person who has a passion for art, culture, and change-making. I care about the world and I have always supported creative artists who use their self-expression to make a difference. I have also spent a lot of my professional life in the non-profit space and around the education and social justice sectors. I’ve cultivated a broad skill set and a vast amount of experience in helping to advance, expand, and promote the brands and good works of the organizations with which I’ve worked.

a brief outline and timeline of my professional career highlights.

I grew up near New York City and attended Ramapo College in New Jersey, where I founded Entrepreneurs Inc., the holding company for Campus Video—a national college-based video store franchise for which I was recognized in "Who's Who of American Colleges and Universities."

In 1994, I relocated to San Francisco and joined KQED TV's development department. Following a PBS cutback, I founded the North Beach Jazz Festival and grew its attendance from 800 to over 30,000 in five years by leading development, marketing, and communications efforts.

In 2003, I became Associate Director of Development & Marketing at the San Francisco Conservation Corps, successfully navigating state budget cuts by diversifying revenue through special events and donor cultivation. Three years later, as Director of Marketing and Communications at First Graduate, I increased revenues by 46% in my first year, launched a record-setting annual fundraiser, and managed a comprehensive rebranding initiative.

I also served as Director of Communications and Community Relations for Intersection for the Arts and founded sf|noir, a multidisciplinary arts organization celebrating Black contributions to arts and culture, where I was Executive Director until 2018. Additionally, I held roles at Partners in School Innovation and Marin Academy. Most recently, I served as Vice President of Marketing and Communications at Pajama Program in New York City.
